>204 for Yotes?
I have a line on a .204 and was wondering how you experienced Coyote Hunters feel about this round? What is the max effective kill range or should I just go with a .22-250?

with 40grs bullets I believe it has higher BC than the 22-250 with 55grs etc...
I think it should do a yote to 300 or 400yds without much work.
some think its on the light side for yotes though even with 40grs.
when talking 400yds+ for yotes guys quickly start talking about the .243win...instead of the .223's..

The .204 is a great round for coyotes, expecially if you reload and get away from the fragile Ballistic tipped bullets like V-max and Blitz Kings. Put either the 35 or the 40 gr. Berger into a coyote and it does the trick. No having to avoid shoulder, matter of fact, aim for the shoulder and it'll anchor them where they stand when hit. The 40 gr. Bergers will pass through from time to time, the 35's never or very rarely do.
I call coyotes to me, so my average shot is probably under 100 yards, but I wouldn't hesitate to shoot one at 300 yards and have actually killed just a couple beyond that.
