Do predators see light?

agreed with ridge runner. get a red lens spotlight if possible. also, when flashing out in the field, KEEP IT ON. do not turn it on and off. if a coyote or fox notices the light turning off and on, or moving around a lot, they'll spook. instead, aim your spotlight out whichever way you want to and the halo of the light alone will be enough to spot their eyes and not spook them.
also if you have a spotlight, but not a red lens for it, you can get red metallic krylon spray paint at walmart for about $4 bucks and spray that on the inside of your flashlight's lens. it's a metallic spray paint and can withstand extremely high temperatures, so it wont ruin your spotlight. good luck!
