I haven't had any trouble with the off sets and pull outs. When setting I try to be pretty critter specific with the set and also the trap I'm setting. For muskrats and mink I use a 1.5 sleepy creeks with offset. The mink specific sets are always on a slide. The rats usually take care of themselves. Have caught several mink in rat sets and they are always there tangled up in the grass.

I have several #1 jumps that are good little traps but I was getting wring outs and broken legs so I quit using them.
