If you gentlemen like traditional hand calls instead of electronic calls, go pick up a Primos CatNip call. reed is covered, but allows you to bite down on it with different pressure to produce higher and lower pitched rabbit distress. also the small cone on the end is made of rubber, so you can pinch it with your fingers and produce even more varieties of distress. easy to learn to use, very cheap in price, and produces the best calling i've ever heard from a mouth call. i have not called in NEARLY as many coyotes with this call as i have with others. highly recommended by me!

absolutely, i got mine at turner's outdoors for about $10. you can probably find the same price, if not cheaper, on ebay. really an amazing call tho!
