Distress calls work well for me.

Call softly until you get good.

I'm starting to score on half my stands now !

Default Distress, calls, and soft..... real soft...

Like Sheridan said, Soft... It is amazing how many coyotes are blown off of the stand just because the calling was to loud...

I like to call my first 2 series soft and muffled...
My third and forth a little louder, and then soft again for the remaining sets...

Calling is an art... In Predator Calling I think its not what you say... As long as you sound hurt, its how carefull you are.. A coyote can pinpoint sound like a guided missle... I have seen lots of times where the coyote has come from a great distance, and bee-lined right for me... Even as he has crossed fencelines, creeks, ditches, etc..

Scan everything.... You would be supprised to see a coyote sitting on his haunches, watchin and turn the other way when you go to start your next series because you started to loud...

and Practice with your call... A Good Predator Call is like a violin, you just dont pick it up and your good... Give it some time and learn its ins and outs...

I would tell you, that if an interested yote would walk into your calling, and if a decoy of some sort could distract him; that would be a good thing !

I like Mojo where legal.

Or for that matter, a turkey feather tighted to a stick..............................some visual to convience the coyote that it might be for real.

Now.............for some good shooting sticks - Tripod that is !
