The calling has really gotten sluggish for me as coyotes are locking up on perspective den sites. I took a 5 hour trip North near Michigan on Friday but by the first stand I got a call saying my prize Malenois (Police Dog) shattered his leg. Ended up worrying myself sick and just coming home instead of finishing out the 2 day hunt... heading back up there tomorrow to do at least one nights worth of calling.
Here are a couple daytime coyotes from last week:

Here's one I knocked down last night near my house. The wife either misplaced or deleted pictures of a double I took on this place a week ago???

Dang, you guys are whackin' and stackin' a lot of coyotes for late season. SO #40fan, since I was huntin' down your way and didn't even see 7 coyotes, I gotta ask, how many did ya call in and what sounds were you using? Did they come in good? Huntin' by yourself?
Hey Jrb, in the one pic. with the snow, what's the large object under the white stuff on the end of your barrel? And I assume that is some sort of night scope?
Hey millagerobert, never too late to help your team. I'll get some points up for ya.
Well, I didn't get much trigger time, but I did get a chance to shoot two, but only one was called in. On this one stand, we called in two singles that came from opposite directions about 3 minutes apart. We did some howls first with our hand calls, and then at about 10 minutes later I switched the fox pro onto jack rabbit distress, and about 2 minutes later the first came infront of my buddy. Bark stopped it and he shot it with his .204 with 39 bk. The coyote went into the spin, and at the same time I switched to the kiyi's on the caller. The coyote actually stopped spinning and stood there starring toward the caller, so my buddy hit'em again, and down he went. Then switched to k-9 distress and about 3 minutes later another rolled in, this time infront of me. I barked hit to a stop and dumped him at about 50 yards. We got 4 this weekend, he shot two and I got two, but my other wasn't called in, we actually jumped it as we were walking from one stand to the next, and I got'em at about 15 yards.
