i shoot the gold express pellet, 1200fps. I take rabbits at the far end of my garden, from the bedroom window. It's about 45yrds. they don't go far with a head or shoulder shot. I had to take a skunk for the guy next door, same thing hit it in the shoulder at about 30yds. Never knew what happened.

Gamo's are fun. I have a Big Cat 1200. Word of warning- Don't leave it cocked for any length of time. My girl was shooting and left it cocked for 2 days. Went from vermin slayer to Daisy BB-Gun. It sits in the corner now. [:'(]

Have you tryed different pellets? Sometimes that is the key, may spend a few bucks on pellets you'll never use, but so what. Mine shoots much better with the gold coated pellets. give it a shot. ilyote is right to, could be a few things.
