Default 22-250 VS 223

Which cartridge would be better for varmints-yotes and smaller. Also which gunmanufacturer would be best.- i prefer no magazine.

Both are great, but if you're hunting wide open spaces where you might expect some longer range shots, the 22-250 would be the better choice.

Imout in Texas.but i've already have a 25-06 so a .243 most likely wouldnt be necissary??? Is the weatherby vanguard any good?I heard that in the 22-250its good to get a 1-8in barrel is that correct? Is the 22-250 easy to reload for?
thanks

You would'nt want a 1:8 twist unless you planned on shooting heavy bullets at some very long distance.

I prefer to shoot 50-55gr bullets out of .224" rifles, especially for coyotes.

I also prefer the 223, as you can load 1.5 223 rds for every one 22-250 round.

My go-to varmint rig is a 243 (coyotes), and my go-to smaller sized varmint gun is a 223.
