Crow Decoys
#1
Does anyone have any ideas for alternative crow decoys? I would rather buy special crow decoys because I really dont mess around with crows that much. But I do like to hunt them and wanna increase my chances a little bit. Is there anything I could find laying around the house (black, duh) that I could possibly use. Or anything I could rig up and use?

On a budget you can easily cut them out of card board or plywood. Paint them black and use part of a hanger to make a stick to push them into the ground. They work but once crows are directly over the deeks they obviously disappear from the crowsviewpoint(as they are thin) and spook the crows, so shoot fast or be well on the incoming side.

Hey Rockinchair, Those crow decoys can be made at home, true. But they really don"t cost that much, and they can be used for alot. I use crows for goose, and coyote hunting also. You don"t need to many of them to be effective, so bust out the wallet and make it happen.
