Flushed one yote out of the bush and something strang happened. It was around 10:30am or so and herd 2-3 yotes howeling in a plowed up farm. Never hear them during the day just at night. Whats with that??

Around noon time I was checking the zero on a friends rifle. We were out in the middle of the country so I taped a target to a fence. One of the rounds ricochet, making the normal noise that they do. After the three shots, we started walking towards the target and we heard coyotes start howling way off in the distance behind the target.
Why they did it, I don't know. The only other time I heard them that late in the morning was when it was snowing.

The mating season is fast appoaching, howling any time of the day can happen, and does all the time. It's just that we're not out there all the time to hear it.
