well the weather just didn't cooperate at all.saterday morn got up to raining hard conditions,i said i don't think so.sat night i wanted to hit it hard and stay out all night(at least most of it)and, well made it till 12:30 am.i guess i,m getting to old to pull all nighters.anyway didn't have much action,i happened to look over my left shoulder on the down wind side and saw a pair of eyes(fox)looking at me.gave him a quick lip squeek and he took off straight behind me(straight down wind)well that took care of that one.sunday morn got up at 5 am and conditions look real good.drove to a spot i haven't hit yet this year and about half way in it started raining/sleeting.by the time i was done calling and waiting,i was soaked and needless to say very cold.at this point i said bag this contest.hit the weigh in at noon and its apears every body had a hard time.the caller division was won with 1 red fox and the dog division was taken with 3 reds,no coyotes at all.hopefully the next one will have more favorable conditions.

Yep, always another one to look forward to. I've been in a few that ya just want to go back home and hit the couch, 'cause you know that no critter in its right mind will come to a call. I'll be getting in a contest this coming weekend in Ks. It's a crow and coyote contest, crows worth 1 point and coyotes worth 10 points. Last year 2 coyotes won, and total of 4 were brought in, and my cousin and I won 4th place with 4 crows. The year before was tough conditions also, my cousin and I won with 2 coyotes that year. So, like I said, it seems when there is a contest, just expect bad weather. Better luck next time coyoteseeker.

Coyoteseeker,
Hate to say it... but I'm already looking forward to next year!
We'll go for more promotion and get some more prizes. It sure was nice to meet the guys, if nothing else!
Take care and watch the board to see if I bag any coyotes up north next week. I have to take some time off to save the marriage
