Doe,s anyone use the ruger mini ranch 222 and 223 . I was told there good I known there short but weight not to sure about.I want to get something for coyotes and we can only use up to a 270 in this area. And I won,t be doing any reloading so store bought ammo is the ticket.

mini-14's are not known for their accuracy, but they are usually extremely reliable. If you can find a used for $300-400, that's probably alright. But if you are going to shell out for a NIB, why not spend another $100 and get an olympic or dpms ar-15.

No can,t be larger then 270 I,ve priced out ammo at TSC ,Walmart ,Canadian Tire I,am in Ontario Canada if your wondering. Tsc seems to be the cheapest and the other two stores sell the same brand winchester I wrote it all down don,t have it in front of me right now. But what I can remeber is Tsc is about $4.95 cheaper .I,ll post the prices if any one is intrested and that goe,s for all ammo.

The 580 series mini 14 ranch rifles are more accurate than the older ones. Mine shoots 3" groups at 100 yards. They are not as accurate as the M16 style rifles, but they are more reliable. I picked mine up new for $600 stainless synthetic.
