Yes and No. Any gun in .243 would be good, but I haven't heard anything good about those guns. If you want a .243 that is a bargin price, look at the Stevens guns. They are identical to the Savages except they don't have the accu-trigger and the stock is different.

Personally in your country I don’t think you will likely see shot opportunities in excess of 150 yards. If the 150-yard statement is true you may be looking at a little overkill if that is possible. If you want this to double as a deer rifle I might give it a second look.If you are set on the .243 you may also want to give a Model seven a look over. I wonder if you may be happier with a model Seven CDL in a 17 fireball, .204 ruger or .223 honestly. Would like to think the XCR camo would be offered in .223 soon.
