Had a great hunt today, Howler came down for some Southern Colorado coyote hunting and he scored on these 2 beauties on the same stand just before 10:00 am. Called in one other in the afternoon, but hung up out there and may have caught wind of us. Weather was clear skys, about 45º and no snow cover. Howler was howling to locate these and we bumped up 1/4 mile and hit them with rabbit distress. Nice shootin Man!
Had a great time and hope to get out again soon.

Had fun indeed. Kodiakhuntmaster, we used hand calls only. For a little more detail on this success story, after about 5 minutes of rabbit dying blues, I saw the first coyote coming, it stopped at a fence line at about 75 yrds., turned broadside, and I dropped it in its tracks. I then got right back on the rabbit blues and shortly after, Catmandoo lip squeeked, which is our way of telling each other that we can see a critter coming, so I continued calling, and the second coyote came right on in, and well, Judge Catman wanted to see if I could hit one on the run I guess, 'cause he lite a fire under it and sent it my way, but I got it anyways. This was my third double of the year. Some great calling country down there for sure. I hope to get back down again sometime. And if we could only get some of Articbowmans cold and some of Coyoteseeker's snow, our success would get better, or at least our action would. Thanks again Catmandoo!

Howler is right, he nailed that yotie on a dead run even sidways no less. But I credit this cause he had a bigger scope than me, so not to be out done, its back to the sporting good store again. Here's a pic of my new scope! The field of view on this baby is 1200 acres at 3000 yards!

So you just plant your whole face in that scope and hope the kick of the gun doesn't get you too bad? <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
