Was wondering if the Dennis Kirk tapes have the 15 seconds of silence at the beginning of the tape like the Johny Stewart tapes I have do? I haven't purchased any new tapes in a few years so maybe Johny Stewart doesn't have the delay any more either. I like to set my caller several yards away from me at the beginning of my calling sequence and really like to have that silent time at the beginning of the tape to get into positon. Thanks for any help you may offer. By the way I got my 3rd coyote of the week this morning. Came out of the brush within a minute or two of calling with a female hot on his tail. I got the male but the female made it into the brush before I had a chance at her.

I use Johny Stewart tapes that I bought maybe 3 years ago and they have the delay at the beginning. I haven't noticed a huge problem with tapes that don't have the delay, but I set up on the ground right by the tape player that way I can adjust the volume and such without getting up.

i saw this post this morning but i couldn't remember if my tapes had a delay or not, havn't used them much in recent years.so i sat down and played them.i have johnny stewart, denise kirk and burnham bros tapes.there realy isn't any kind of consistantcy in the length of delay in any of them.some start almost immediatly and one has almost a 3 min delay.the 3 min one is a denise kirk coyote killing a rabbit tape.most of the kirk tapes have a 3 to 10 second delay.
