Default taxidermy ?

If i wanted to get acoyote mounted and a racoon were would you guy's suggest to shoot him so it an't all tore up and looks good.

a mount will only be as good as the guy doing the work and the quality of the product he has to work with.if its all tore up he will have to make repairs to the hide and this could show in the final product.so in other words,use a pelt friendly rifle if your looking to mount one.

behind the shoulder just like a deer. the hair behind the shoulder is longer and can cover most damage,if not to big.you want to try and do as little damage as possible,because the more damage,the higher cost to get it repaired.
most taxidermist can fix a lot,but they are not magicians.just be very careful with your game,keep it clean and free from as much blood and dirt as you can.
