Well I wanted to start a Predator Only..so here it is.


Rules-

1.Must have a Pic.
2.Must have Weapon in pic.
3.No Trapped Animals! no exceptions!!

Points-

150-Wolves
50-Coyote
50-Fox
75-Bobcat
125-Mt.Lion
125-Lynx
25 bonus for Archery


Sign up endsSeptember 16th. then ALT sign ups come in till November 1st!
Teams drawed September 17th!
Starts Sempteber 20th!!!!
March5th is end of contest!!!!

IMO, wolf, mtn. lion, and even bobcat should be worth more than coyote and fox. Maybe wolf and lion worth 150 points, bobcat worth 75 points and coyote and fox 50 points.
Just and idea since wolf and lion are muchfewer and harder to get. Even bobcat is much more rare than coyote and fox.

I agree, cause there is no sense in having points for animals if they are gunna be the same cause then its just who ever shoots the most animals. Unless thats what your after. But i think the different points are a good idea.

trapped animals count. To me that makes no since. Traps work 24/7. How many hunters can do that! In other words, a good trapper wins hands down!

hunteropel is that your photo? where abouts in illinois are you from. i have been seeing a ton of yotes and quite a few foxes this year on our farm and of timber i have permission to predator hunt.

That barn full of skins has surfaced many times and the fact is, most of those were trapped.

In coyote calling competitions there are 2 man teams. I'm wondering if we shouldn't have 4 man teams to even them out a bit.

I was thinking 4 man teams would be more competition for this reason. Say an avid predator hunter gets stuck with a guy who might not even shoot a yote or anything. Then the competition wouldn't be fair. Whereas if you have a 4 man team more than likely there will be some numbers racking up.

I dunno, just my opinion. Anyone else have any ideas?
