that is Leupolds retractable bullet drop chart. the place i ordered the scope had a deal going on and you could get a free accessory. when shooting long range i "click" in my distance. say at 300yds im 6" low i will click my scope up 8 clicks. the chart holds that info i write on it. actually havent wrote anything on it yet...i carry my numbers on paper...still testing and making sure the program i found is true...so far it works though. then after the shot, click back down 8 clicks and im zeroed at my zero. cant tell you how many times i forgot my paper and had to hold and pray...with the thing on my scope i wont beable to forget it...what the heck...it was free

the gun is still new..only got 100rds or so through it...they say after 250 or something the bore will settle in...but i fired a couple .70-.75" groups at 100yds with cheap UMC value pack 50gr HPs...i should have bought lighter ballistic tips..i bought 55gr and the rifle is a slower twist for lighter bullets so the ballistic tips dont shoot as well...dont shoot BAD..but not as good as the cheap UMC ammo did. i plan to reload anyways in the future. i think it shoots really well for a factory rifle. in the end, all that will remain of it will be the action. trigger is next...going to be a Jewel. that and the reloading wont be for a while i dont think...it shoots well enough for me right now...im in college and gotta save some cash..only work during the summer..usualyl buy 1 toy and the rest gets saved to pay the bills through the year...but im really happy with it.

I use my Ruger M77 Mark 2 .243 with 55 grains for prairie dogs and coyotes. For squirrels i use a Marlin .22 and for rabbits a Remington .12 or .20 gauge

DANTHEHUNTER.....While cleaning a couple or rifles today I dug these out of the safe just for you. These are M77 based varminters that I started with 25 years ago and probably havent been shot in at least 10. They were/are both shooters.
