RE: 07 Small Game Contest Submissions and Standings
This pic is a little graphic. It is what a 22-250 does to a groundhog with a Texas heart shot around 75 yds. He literally did not have a back half to him.

And my favorite pic of the night. I got a double on these two after waiting them out for about 15 min trying to get a standing shot. Neither one of them offered one, so I shot the first at 238yds (a new long for me) and surprisingly enough hit him. The second took off for his hole, butat the edge of the weedsstopped to look back. I nailed him at 257yds (a new long again). I love my new rifle, never could have done that with my old one.

got out yesterday and got 10 gophers out of the same field and the grass grew like crazy so it was hard to spot them. someone else is using our camera right now so ill take pics later. (we keep the gophers in a freezer and then bring them to a wildlife center out of town for the owls and stuff, so ill get pics tomorrow)

Back at it again tonight. It's a lot tougher to hunt them when the big round bales are off the fields, so I had to relycompletely on my shooting sticks. I went 6 for 10, but all but one kill was over 100 yds, and three were 200+. All three misses were over 200 yds, so all in all, I can't complain with how I did. Anyways, the pics....
