Worked for me. Another method that i have used is to smear the trunk of a tree with a big jar of Skippy peanut butter. Then shoot them with a pellet gun or slingshot as they gorge themselves.

use a pellet gun. noone will hear it, i lke my crossman m357, its a co2 powered double action revolver and i love it for squirrels, as long as there close.

Live cage traps with the bait on the trigger will get almost all of em.I set 6 on a normal job and im out of squirrels in 5 days. Bird seed works to bring them in. Then a chunk of dried corn on the cob for the trigger will get em.

Find the biggest rat trap you can find. Be sure to anchor it down in case you don't get a clean kill. I've even caught and killed a skunk this way......the little stinker!
