This was a real surprise today. Shot in the back yard.
Thought I had better get him before the 'yotes or cats.
This is the very first squirrel in three years that I've seen on the six acres up near the house.
An albino. He's going to the taxidermist.

RE: Beautiful Squirrel!
Was that a true albino ( pink eyes) or a color phase..??..
The eyes almost seem to have a pink cast in the photo..
In any case, I've never seen a white squirrel, and albinos in any species are rare.. That would make it a good candidate for taxidermy..If the person who shot it didn't want to have it mounted, I expect there are lots of folks out there who would pay good $$$to have it..

Me and one of my buddys tried shooting an ablino squirrel in his backyard in town once with a pellet gun ane we couldnt kill it. We shot it a few times and it never died. It was kinda upseting but on the otherhand a cool experience.
