Default Savage 10FP .223 Tactical for coyotes

I have a Savage 10FP .223 Tactical and i was wondering what everyone though about hunting anything from coyotes to prairie dogs? Thanks!

buy a few types of varmint ammo and see which shoots the best for your gun. That setup is more then capable of 400 yard shots its just a matter if you and your skills are up to the task.

o trust me im capable of shooting that far if something is out there. I actually dont really see any skill in shooting if you have a good rest. anyone should be able to do it especially with a scope!

LOL!!! um yea ok. Ok got a scenario for you yer shootin your 223 its zeroed for 200 yards. The coyotes is at 400 yards to the north and you have a west wind of 15 mphs where do you hold your sights??

I wait for it to close the distance and come to my call and then when it gets to 200 I put the crosshair dead on and squeeze

Dead on! That is of course after adjusting windage and elevation.
