Default finally a coyote PICS included

well i was in my deer stand sunday morning, and watching two does across a creek about 200 yards away. They were in bottoms where the corn was already shelled. They suddenly up and ran off very fast leaving me confused. I thougt they smelled me but i found the reason about 5 minutes later when a coyote came sneaking through the corn stalks. I got on it and smooched my hand to make it stop, 80 yard broadside shot, AND MSSED. i thought i hit at first but later found it was a miss. What shocked me was at the shot coyotes ran everywhere. i thought it was alone, but at the crack o my rifle, 6-10 coyotes ran in al directions. I cycled in another shell and got on a coyote running boadside about 200+ yards out. there was a little brush between us about 30 yards away, but i fired anyway. at the shot this coyote flipped over frontwards and never moved again. I was soo excited i couldnt wait so i climbed down and wet to get it on the four wheeler. got a nice skinned tail drying and nice pictures as well. great hunt.

just thought i would share

Nice coyote! Man 6-10 together is phenominal, where are you from?Any reason for just skinning out the tail... fur looks good from here? They're a pain to skin, but furs make a great trophy!

wow...sounds like you have a coyote problem....if you can hunt them at night, get an electronic call and use a infrared light and kill them all!!! congrats though on making a hard shot!

didn't skin it for two reasons: not enough time that day and it stunk prettybad when i got up close. i am definitly skinning my next coyote no matter the circumstances. i cant wait to get the whole body fur off my net one.

I don't see any signs of mange on that coyote "Nutter". Fur hasn't fully developed- but no mange.

TEmbry, you'd be waiting awhile if you werelooking to skin a coyote that doesn't stink. You're right about time though... it takes me a while to skin a coyote! Good luck.
