i am thinking of using steel shot, bb, bbb, T, this season for yote hunting.
does anyone have any experience using steel for predator hunting?
and what besides speed and penetration can i expect from steel vs. lead when it actually hits a yote.
i live in the east, upstate new york, the yotes up here average around 25 lbs as yearlings but can get up to 40-50 lbs max in a full mature yote.

Um well i don't think there are any. In my opinon steel shot sucks the hind tit. I do not have alot of experience with it on yotes but as for waterfowl it should not be in the same category as lead. If the law makes you shoot steel then u are forced to but if not stick with lead man. I know since we have had to switch to steel on waterfowl alot of guys have been cursing steel including me.

Steel shot is no good for coyotes! it hardly takes out ducks and geese. 3 or 3 1/2 4 BUCK. Dead coyote is pretty good, ist kinda pricey. bikerks on Culver rd rochester has everything u will need..

it has way less knockdown power and it sux.
wouldnt even get close to trying it or thinking about it.
