for my mossbergshotgun a full choke and a #5 or 6 shot is best

no offense, but mossbergs don't pattern that well at all from wat i see at the patterning range. it depends on wat kind of squirrels and the range then i could tell u something.

.22 LR for me. Tomorrow I will be trying out .17 HMR.

yea i agree mossbergs dont pattern well..... but i could not get a 870 for the price i paid for the mossberg

I shootem with a 22 LR. and an 870 12 gauge 7 1/2 shot. I have a 17HMR and it tears them apart, I wish I had a mach 2 though.. Cant wait till it opens..

.22cal or .17 mach2 is the way to go, when squirrel hunting. I don't like to be spitting leads out when I'm eating.
