Yeah, they aint bad. The young ones are good, the older ones are tough, but crock pot em for a while then fry em and they are good too. Good fried or BBQed.

RE: eating woodchuck?
Heard that young ones are good. Wouldn't know why not; they are vegetarians:)

RE: eating woodchuck?
young ones are good and older ones are a bit tuff but if properly cooked they are good too. Take care when skinning out not to break glands in legs and take extra time to remove all fat.

RE: eating woodchuck?
I'd be scared to death to eat any I shoot...my .22-250 55 grain BlitzKing bullets fully tenderizes them....tiny bone fragments everywhere....usually they are in pieces...

RE: eating woodchuck?
ROFL. Yah, nothing like the splat of a varmint round. Funny I handloaded hornady SX's for a triple deuce for years. They would go off like a little artillery shell! Hehe, put a couple FMJ in your pocket for when you are hungry.

I've never had a groundhog but I have heard they are good. I would probably treat them just like a squirrel!
