It started in 1996 when they outlawed self-loading rifles & shotguns and pump action shotguns (unless you get a professional licence very very hard) but you can still have pump action rifles? And new storage requirements have been put in place as well as firearm registration, which they have never been able to get right. Random checks by police of your firearm and ammo storage and now they have outlawed magazine capacity of 10 rounds or more. As for hand guns they had a crackdown on that a couple of years ago as well now you not allowed to have a handgun with a barrel length of less then 100mm for a semi or 120mm for a revolver nothing over 38cal and no mags bigger then 10 rounds.
The worst part is they still want to make more bans and funny part is more criminals have these weapons then ever before they even had about 20 “people” outside mosque during a riot waving Glocks in the air and the cops wouldn’t do a thing about it as they didn’t want to “escalate the situation” but if they find a box of .22 bullets or a hand full of 12ga shells sitting on a bench during an inspection I would get a fine loose my licence and my guns and not be eligible to get a new one for 7 years.
They have made it easer to be a criminal then a law abiding citizen in order to get another pistol I would have to pay $200 a year for a licence buy a safe to put it in, join a club at $200+ a year and pay $30 for a permit to acquire then when you add the $850 to buy a new Glock you get a total of $1280 with a upkeep fee of $400 a year why would I do that when I can buy a Glock on the street for $1500 no questions asked.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for your circumstance. Wow, what an eye opener. The saying has always been" Take guns away from law abiding citizens and only criminals will have guns and the good people can't defend themselves." I hope that the lawmakers over there get there heads out of there butts and I hope that the anti-gunners here get educated as we are heading for that someday if we don't educate more people. I am sure that without the NRA we would already be there. I have a concealed permit that costs me $10 a year and I am allowed to carry it anywhere except on school grounds. I can walk in a bank with my loaded .45 acp glock concealed and loaded and ready for bad guys. Our crime rate is low because bad guys don't know who is carrying. I have had this permit for 10 years and my wife just got hers. Take care.
