I have thought of the idea before, but there are so many around here I don't know if it would do any good or help the ecoysystem any. I guess the Animal Kingdom has put up with them until now, So I probably wouldn't hunt them.

if it were legal and airgun hunting in this state were legal, I would definitely go and harvest as many as the daily limit goes, but unfortuneatly it's not legal here

"Hunting" to me indicates the probability of eating your harvest.
So, no.
But I'd shoot the piss out of them!
I believe they are Federally protected.
