I replied to this topic and it didn't make it on for some reason. Everyone is talking about .22lr and shotguns. I recently purchased a .17 hmr. It is about 600 to 700 feet per second faster than a 22lr and the accuracy is incredible. A seasoned shooter with a 3x9 scope can easily make a 50 to 60 yard head shot on a squirrel because it is such a flat shooting little gun.
