Anything I have ever used to mark a trail is picked up on the way out period. No ifs, ands, or buts. I agree, hate when people leave crap laying around in the woods.

I have a battery operated Coleman. I will give this a try this year if tracking in the dark, never even thought about using one.

These are some great ideas. The water, and the gps are really good. You could use it to mark waypoints as you proceed.

There ya go:D. I always go out with my one friend. He and I make a great tracking team. I don't like to many people there running all over the woods, only use that as a last resort myself.

Well I thought to go along with Robs thread it might be a good idea to list a few must have, or should have items to take with you on the trail of your bow kill.
