You suck!!! :D Just kidding swampthing, that's cool. This guy waid all of the bad ones were out of the loop so they should be good from now on.

Another update, I too recieved the wrong top the 2nd time. E-mailed my man at Summit and he said the same thing, he would overnight another, pre-assembled, top. He said all of the bad ones were out...

Have you tried climbing with one of those stands w/o the bar? Try it, in the field, in Sept. and see how bad you're sweating by the time you get up the tree. I'm in better than average physical...

I e-mailed them yesterday from their web-site, had a response with in 2 hours and they said the same thing, that they'd send a whole top section. I had a few questions and they answered them right...

I just re-read your post, do you mean they send you a whole new upper portion of the stand?

Dave, I put mine together this weekend and noticed the same thing. I was just gonna live with it but maybe I'll give them a call.
