I'm not sure where anyone would get that idea? Any bow is going to lose a considerable amount of speed dropping the draw weight down 10# while keeping the arrow weight the same.
Every # you drop...

Don't feel like you're working on a grenade or anything LOL. :DIn reality the caps don't do a whole lot but you can break them if you unknowingly get too heavy handed.
Just lightly snug them...
