The arrow that I am using with the plastic vanes also has a different nock. It grips the arrow much tighter then the other. Does this influence arrow speed and explain the results to any degree?

I thought the same thing so i just went back and rechecked. I had feathers on one and plastic on the other. That may be the dif. I didn' t think that drag made that much of an impact.

I got my new chrony in the mail yesterday and I got the following calculations with a little testing:

@ 70 lbs and 28 inch draw:

Draw Length / Draw Weight / Arrow Weight / Velocity / ...
