RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Jay-Thanks and you are right about cost. Why bitch about $371 for NR and $76.50 for res? That is 5X as much but still a bargain for an elk tag. USO has one objective and that is 50% of the elk via...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Mouse-You may be right but I remember reading the letter from Montoya explaining that they just wanted the full 10%(crap) and he was forced to sue to get that. He stated that the true allocation...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

NVmike-you may have something there. We can make up the loss of the tag cost reduction pretty easy. We could allocate a fixed % of tags at the same cost but put non-res in a seperate draw. No...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

THANK YOU PLB!!! Excellent synopsis of reality and if that don't shut up the ill informed people who try to justify the USO stand then they need to be put in the looney home. All this crap about...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Ma-Who cares what you want? You need to do the math. 8000 elk tags for 240000 applicants and yet you are getting 10%. your odds are better than mine. You just said that you support the 9th district...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

God! This is getting old. How can the same statements be pounded out over and over as fact when they're not. AZ is the basis and just punch up the AZ game and fish site and analyze the annual report...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Sorry but that was directed at Texas comment, not you. You may be right and it would be funny but I doubt it with the interest in AZ elk and only 7500 tags for a hunt I bet the % will be well above...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

That is a fair question and I also need to know the answer. I am going to the G&F meeting in two weeks and will ask and let you know. My understanding is the fund from fed that is most significant to...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Fieldmouse-With the quality of animals here you can trust me that we will give out as much as non-res hunters can get. There is a huge amount of money out there to hunt and people lining up for tags....

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Mayja-I know quite a few people here who haven't been drawn for 10 years too. The problem is with a 35000 animal count and a couple hundred thousand people wanting to kill them. You have a 10% chance...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

MAjay and mouse-I know we had around 240000 applicants this year for big game tags. 10% were for non-residents and to get the draw done we allowed another 800 elk tags exclusively to non-res hunters....

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Phil-I know that Taulman and one of his Arizona guides were indicted but I don't think they have been tried yet. I think that is the reason that the Arizona suit was filed in the names of Griz...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Just got a note from Bill Jordan and Realtree is pulling the plug so I can feel good about buying more camo this year. Thanks NVmike for the support and we will do the same if the money boys try to...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Good for Primos and I will continue to support them. Bad for Crooked Horn as they will continue to support USO so I will wear out their backpack and bino system but will never buy from them again....

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Nope and I don't think you need one unless you get drawn in a great unit and really want that big 6 or 7x. Lots of elk and lots of hunters and no private land tags so the outfitter will have to deal...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Mine was no elk, no antelope, no sheep, no deer and no buffalo. I have a raghorn tag for the reservation so at least I will be bowhunting. I also am building points. Freind got drawn for bull so...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Sounds like our G&F guys are doing the usual good job. I hope that this passes muster with the liberal snot suckin' judge and the beauty is that it is based on fairness of people who allready applied...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Good for you. They will at least have one customer. How do you feel about the illegal use of aircraft for elk hunting? You can luv em all you want but I don't have to.

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Man! Good article and USO makes me sick. We will have nothing left but a few cows if those guys get their way. I bet G&F decides to hit the tag cost for non-res which is a shame because USO will just...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

Just heard that the ruling was based on the interstate commerce act and the judge gave G&F a chance to allocate a % of our tags to outfitters like NM does so we will not have more opportunity over...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

We will be changing our rules as a result of a meeting today. This has delayed our draw. Residents pay for improved habitat and should get a % of tags. We will now push other states on this precedent...

RE: Court Rulling on AZ Permits Bad

I wrote the dirty bastads last night. No problem with non-res hunters but hate Taulman the airplane poacher and his greedy crew. The funny thing is our AZ websites are smokin' with grass roots work...
