skhunter, you should try to send the gun back to Remington. The receiver is drilled and tapped in the factory, so they should repair it for free. Just a thought!

I use Wonder Lube on both the breech plug and the nipple of my MLS. It seems work for me! I have a Leupold VX-II 3-9X40 on mine with Leupold Dual Dovetail rings and bases. Very solid combination....
