They aren't making any more of them. If you want one you have to pay the going rate unless you get really lucky. When I bought my 45-70 they were going for beteen $500 and &$700. I just got stupid...

After seeing these crazy Marlin rifle prices in this thread I find that I darn near stole my Marlin 45-70, a real one with the marlin stamp. I saw an ad for a 45-70 Marlin on the Hunting PA website....
