You're seeing long entrance holes because of the design of the head.

Next time you shoot a deer with a fixed blade head, take a string and lay it around the edge of the entrance/exit holes and...

That was your standard 100grain Muzzy 3-blade. ;)

Deer went maybe 50 yards before falling and rolling down the hill another 15 - 20.
