I agree, the mid priced Bushnells are hard to beat for the money, but have you ever checked out the Vortex Diamondback HP series scopes? I bought a 4-16 for my custom 308 Mauser. Its a amazing scope...

I have been a Leupold fan forever, but recently bought a Vortex. I am very impressed with the Vortex. I am a new loyal customer and would not hesitate recommending one to anybody.
