I have been a Leupold fan forever, but recently bought a Vortex. I am very impressed with the Vortex. I am a new loyal customer and would not hesitate recommending one to anybody.

We already know the best name brands. But the best bang for your dollar are multiple models from Bushnell, all under $299.

I agree, the mid priced Bushnells are hard to beat for the money, but have you ever checked out the Vortex Diamondback HP series scopes? I bought a 4-16 for my custom 308 Mauser. Its a amazing scope for the money, $299 and it has side focus and target style turrets that are capped, which is nice for a hunting scope. For under $300, I believe it has the best glass and features on the market. If you get a chance check one out. They have a 3-12 version that I am probably going to buy for another of my guns.

Thumbs up

Wanting a new scope that was different, I asked the dealer to recommend one. It was a long distance order, he recommended the Minox ZA 5, 2.5 x 10 x 40mm. This scope is good out to 600 yards. It is a perfect match for my 7mm-08 Remington caliber with the Thompson Venture. Awesome combination!

Vortex has an excellent warranty. The glass is good. Definitely worth the money

Voted Leupold but got to put in a plug for Vortex. I've got a 1st generation Viper 2-7x32 w/C3 reticle. If I could only keep one scope this would be it.

I've tried lots of various optics in my life and as many of you do, I also have few my own scopes, but most of the time I use ATN X-SIGHT, which I can say is my favorite, this one:

I have a lot of rifles and makes of scopes. But you said our favorite most used combo so it is my sako in 300Wby with a 3.5-10 with a 400mm objective. These 2 have been together since I bought the gun. Now the gun has seen some real lumps with that scope. The stock got broke in a quad roll over knocked on the floor and last fall fell from the fence when I shot. After a quick resight good to go again. Definitly my favorite pair so far. This pair have been together since about 1989.
