No, you can get a decent setup for $400-$500, you could even spend less if you wanted to. Go over to AT(archery talk) and look in the classifieds. You can find good,older bows that are around...

Please tell me your joking. If you quit just because you dont see deer your taking it WAY to serious. Also thats a pathetic reason to quit in my opinion, maybe scout a little more and hunt smarter...
