i'd read that mossberg 500's lose a round of capacity when using 3 inch slugs guess i'll have to try it myself

in my state your gun has to have a 5 shot maximum. In a mossberg 500 using 2 3/4 shells my capacity is 6 shots. With 3 inch shells i lose a round of capacity making my gun legal

hey guys what slugs should i be using with my 12 gauge mossberg 500? i've got a 24 inch slug barrel but im pretty sure its not rifled. I need to be using 3inch slugs, all help is appreciated thanks!

hey guys i've been using the cheap winchester 100 round box of 12 gauge ammo at walmart that's 16 bucks for trap shooting is there anyway to get some more ammo of the same quality for even cheaper?

hmm i like that idea, i will keep it.

I like the idea of keeping the extra barrels though. Short one for HD, long for trap and the rifled for deer. Makes sense dont ya think?

ok so i found out it actually comes with another barrel.

so its got a 20inch and a 28 inch regular barrel as well as a 24inch deer slug barrel with sights on it.

as well as the 4 chokes...

alright thanks alot guys, these guns seem to go for around 300 which is pretty cheap if you ask me. The synthetic 18" with the 7 round magazine is the way im going. Thanks for the help

alright for some reasons i'm in love with the magazine tube being the same length as the barrel.
