I have not shot Javalinea but have shot a lot of old Ben Pearson recuves and think they are a very under rated bow . some of the better shooting older bows.

I to would like to see it moved back. Most clubs aroumd here set the white stake close because of the kids that shoot from it. alot of times my freinds and I will shoot from the Yellow stake.

I have tried alot of different heads for small game and prefer the ACE HEX BLUNTS. they do a good job on rabbits,groundhogs and bushy tails.

I hunt the TN side regular and there are plenty of big deer. The trick is to pick a are and get to know it. there are a lot of weekend warriors the first couple of weekends the seem to just run...

If you have a place to go roving try that it is good practice at different distances. and not as boring as standing in the yard shooting targets.
Combine it with scouting.

I am glad you did not spray I made a mistake it should have been mineralspirts instead of mineral oil. tru-oil is tough and easy to fix if you do get a scratch. Idid not have much luck with steel...

I have refinished many old bows with tru-oil. the best way to apply is to spray with a touch up gun. cut the tru-oil with mineral oil and apply several light coats. If you try to hand rub the tru-oil...
