Well put! I'll add though that I'd rather eat one of these 'harvested' animals any-day rather than the store bought garbage that's pumped full of antibiotics and gum wrappers.

Black Locust will root sprout quite aggressively...

Black Locust will root sprout quite aggressively if you cut them. I believe that you may be able to deal with the sprouting by treating the area to be cut with an herbicide though.
