We just got back from Montana. I lucked into a 5X6 with a 40" spread. We were in the Little Belts. It's the only elk we saw. Thank for the info.

No misleading here. The other guys never looked into elk hunting.
What about area 703 looks like our tag are good for either sex? Could it be no public land or no elk?

Thanks BBJ. I didn't know our general tags don't work in our area for elk. I'll have to find that in the book.
Sounds to far to go for one or two days of hunting and no scouting.

Hi everyone, a group of us are going to Olive Mt. for mule deer. We also have elk tags. Can anyone tell me if there is any public land for elk near Olive? Thanks in advance.
