What mounts and rings would you recommend for a Rem 700 long action with a 3-9x40 scope. I kind of like the picatiny look. I just don't like some that stick out in the front. It will be mainly a hunting rifle.

If I'm spending my own money on rings and bases, then I buy products which give me the most for my money. Seekins, EGW, Nightforce, Talley, Burris Signature Zee or XTR rings, Warne.

I was looking at the Leupold PRW and Tally rings. Another option may be an EGW rail w/ Burris Sig Zee

Mine has stanard leupold rings. Doing it again, Might think about QRW, so I could swap scopes easy, with weaver style bases. QRW low mounts fit a 33 objective, but not with rear sights. I am guessing medium, but would research it, if you go that route.

I don't have many pictures online, so it's not a Rem 700, but an EGW rail and Burris Sig Zee's are what I have on my newest Ruger 10/22 Charger.



Very happy with the set up. I have a Warne rail and Burris Sig Zee's on one of my Taurus Tracker revolver's as well, also very happy with those.

Might go with the Low Talley LW one piece for a 3-9x40 VX-2
