Default Update CrossfireII scope (video)

Well, originally I liked the scope. I had some issues with it. Sent it back 3 times.

Just got off the phone with them. They had their techs test the scope several times with no fogging. They were very polite. I shared a link to the update video in an email. They duplicate my tests with no fogging. They did use an alcohol wipe to clean the lens and watched for several minutes with no fogging. They gave me a choice of a refund with a copy of the receipt or the return of the scope. I elected to receive the scope. If it fogs again, it will just go on a different rifle that I don't hunt with.

Thanks for fixing the link. Watched it.

Too bad that its not right. I don't know if putting your warm hands on it contributed to the fogging, but I guess it should not happen either way.

At least they are standing by their reputation and offering a swap or a refund.

What was your out of pocket cost for the scope?

The scope sales for $169 at Dick's Sporting Goods. I bought a rifle at the same time. I applied for their credit card to save an additional 10% I also had a coupon for $10 off

So you paid about $150.00 out the door. How much more would you have been willing to pay for it if it didn't cause you any grief?

I'm guessing you'd been happy at $175.00 or even more if it functioned to your satisfaction.

I've had little luck with new scopes that were less than $225.00, but there have been some exceptions.

I wonder if your problem was a fluke or if there's been a bunch of those scopes with similar problems?

I learned many moons ago to not "cheap out" on scopes.
