Barska or BSA see thrus on a .375H&H... are you kidding? I wouldn't put those on anything!

You are right. What was I thinking? Simmons, Millet, and Tasco can be had for around $10 too!

A perfect match - a hard recoiling rifle, a fairly heavy and costly scope, and cheap rings. What could possibly go wrong?

Why don't you just use duck tape

Don't cheap out on the rings. You'll be sorry.

The illumination feature does seem useful at the lower levels but the brighter levels are much too bright for me. I doubt that I will have the illumination turned on very often.

The scope is really very good. The eye relief is long and constant throughout the power settings and the field of view is large. It has top quality glass and gives an excellent low light view.

I have seen one guy's posts as he goes from site to site trashing the VX 6 due to a stiff power ring (it must be his hobby). The power ring on my scope feels like the power ring on other top quality scopes. Everything seems to work just as it should.

The current Leupold promotion is a free Carhartt jacket that should arrive in a few weeks. That is a nice little bonus.
