Default Vortex or Minox?

I am looking to purchase a new scope for my Remingtion 700 .243 and I am considering a Vortex Diamondback or a Minox ZV3.
Does anyone have any thoughts on these?

I like Vortex although the Diamondback line is not their best. Of the two mentioned, I'd go with Minox.

See what happens when people want to know how long they have been around ?!?!

...............and Vortex offers a "no questions asked" warranty (and they make good optics for the money).

I have no problems with Vortex... own a Viper. Their CS / warranty rivals Leupy. My comment was in regards to the Diamondback that was mentioned... it's a mid-level offering.

Is your experience with Vortex customer service first hand? Many optics companies claim a great warranty and customer service but few match Leupold in reality.

I think I will go with the Minox. I have never bought a new scope before. How do I know what base and rings to get for my Remington 700. I assum 1" rings but what about the base? Any help and recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's either a 1" or 30mm tube; you need to know that first.

I recommend "weaver style" bases & rings; but you better read up on this stuff !
