Question Suggestions for a good AR-15 Scope & Rings.

I will be ordering a AR-15 5.56 NATO rifle in the next few weeks. I see a lot of different scopes and manifiers available. What would be a good fit along with rings without breaking the bank. Will probably only shoot coyotes at 300 yrds or less.

Are there any scopes to definitely stay away from?

Centerpoint is a decent affordable scope. I have one on my .223 and it keeps on target and they have illuminated red/green reticle...they are around $70 at walmart.

Get a lifetime warranty on your scope.

Gonna need 10X to 12X

"weaver style" rings.................... $50-$75 is reasonable.

I don't think you need 10-12x for only 300 yards. Tons of guys shoot that far with a 1-4x. Your options are limitless, but my suggestion is going to vary based on what you want to spend.

Edit: Relevant update

I'd spend up to $350, but the lesser the better. I've seen some refurbed Nikon scopes. What do you guys think of those.

How much did you spend on your new AR ?

Did you buy a cheap AR or a "good" AR ?

Are you going to put a cheap scope or a "good" scope on it ???
