Default Pentax Gameseeker

I was looking through the Sportsman's Guide on-line sales, and found this scope

http://workwearsavings.sportsmansgui...p=WX2&i=149888

A Pentax Gameseeker in 4-12 X 40 with an asking proce of about $63.00 plus 10.50 shipping, so right around 75.00 to the door.
I have never investigated the Pentax line of scopes, but my guess is that this sale is for a lower or mid end scope, but it still seemed like a good deal for my back-up rifles.
What'do you folks think. Decent deal for this particular scope? Or steer clear?

Not sure about the Gameseeker line. I have messed with a Lightseeker, which was not too bad (I'm thinking it's a re-badged Burris). Why not investigate a used Leupy or Bushy Elite? A Burris FFII, Vortex Diamondback or a Sightron S1 would also be decent choices.

I have several Leupolds, all great, even the cheaper ones. I have one Burris FFII, and it is a very nice optic. Have never had a Bushnell Elite but have not heard any but good about them. Maybe that would be a good way to go.

I remember at one time one of the optics sites I visited had a clearance area with reconditioned and used scopes, but since I got my new hard drive I can't find it anymore (saved on my puked drive!)
Anybody know a good site to troll for used scopes?

Refurbished and used scopes usually have a very short warranty, but a few manufacturing companies will fix problems anyhow.

Very true. I believe Nikon's are only covered for 90 days!
